Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF-01 post)
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled "Integrated Treatment of Lignite and Acid Mine Drainage for Remediation of Pollutants and Generation of Clean Coal, Bio-Methane and Bio-Composites: A Circular Bio-Economy Approach" funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The posts are purely temporary and co-terminate with the project.

3. Eligibility
a. Minimum Qualifications:
M.Sc./M.Tech.(Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry relevant life sciences discipline), with minimum of 55% marks. or
b. Desirable Qualifications:
Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE etc. National level exams will be preferred
Candidates having experience in Biochemistry, Chemical engineering, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, and other molecular biology techniques are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing.
4. Age Limit
Up to 35 years on closing date of advertisement
5. Fellowship Duration:
Until March 2026
6. Fellowship: Rs.36,000/- per month inclusive of HRA (NET/GATE or equivalent exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
OR
Rs.23,213/- fixed per month (For candidates who have not qualified for the national-level-examinations such as NET/GATE) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
